"Born 4th of July, 1897 in a small village called Perieți, Ialomița County, România, Costică Acsinte fought in WWI. Despite his formation as a pilot, he was a official war photographer till 15th of June, 1920. As soon as the war was over he opened a studio — „Foto Splendid C. Acsinte“ in Slobozia town.
In 1985, the Ialomița County History Museum aquires more than 5000 photographic plates made by Acsinte between 1935–1945. In 2007, the museum bought more than 300 prints taken during WW I. At 23rd of June, 1991 all his photographic work fell into Public Domain, as per Decret Lege nr 321/1956 and Lege nr 8/1996."
