1954, is a Brazilian photographer. Born in Niterói, he lives and works in Rio de Janeiro. He studied photography at Cândido Mendes University (UCAM) in Rio de Janeiro.

His work focuses on the sea as a space of physical, emotional, and visual experience, often developed along the coasts of Brazil and Uruguay. In series such as Periscope, he positions the camera at water level, using waves as a compositional element to obscure or reveal subjects, and exploring the shifting boundary between surface and depth.

He has also developed projects concerned with territory and urban distance, including Islandscapes, in which he photographs islands around Rio de Janeiro as spaces separated from the city. His practice extends across photography, prints, and video, and includes photobook production, notably Periscope (2014) and earlier publications such as Literariamente (2008), alongside contributions to collaborative books.
