Born in 1988, is a Belgian photographer based in Brussels. His work frequently interrogates the conventions of documentary photography, questioning ideas of objectivity, authorship, and the viewer’s trust in photographic representation. The photobook plays a central role in his practice as both a narrative and conceptual framework.

He studied photography at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (KASK) in Ghent, earning a BA from 2008 to 2010 and an MFA from 2010 to 2012. From 2015 to 2017, he was a nominee member of Magnum Photos before leaving the agency. His self-published photobooks include The Fourth Wall (2012), Will They Sing Like Raindrops or Leave Me Thirsty(2014), and Red Ink (2018). Will They Sing Like Raindrops or Leave Me Thirsty received a Photographic Museum of Humanity grant, while Red Ink was awarded the Leica Oskar Barnack Award. He has also received the Edward Steichen Award Laureate.

His projects often combine documentary material with staged or constructed elements to destabilize expectations of realism. This approach is evident in Will They Sing Like Raindrops or Leave Me Thirsty, which centers on the activities of the Love Commandos in India and blends observational photography with scenes referencing popular cinema.
