Born in 1967 in Skurup, Skåne County, Sweden, is a Swedish documentary photographer living in Malmö. Working primarily in black and white, his practice is closely tied to the photobook and characterized by understated, quietly observed moments drawn from everyday life and long-term engagement with specific places and communities.

In the early 1990s, he photographed bands and musicians and spent several years touring with the Swedish pop group The Cardigans, resulting in the diaristic book The Cardigans: Been it (1997). He subsequently developed a distinct documentary approach marked by grainy black-and-white imagery and sustained observation. In Ocean (2008), he photographed a group of men from Rajasthan traveling to the sea for the first time, while Lowlands (2011) revisited his childhood hometown of Skurup over four years, portraying its inhabitants and rural atmosphere.

Later projects continued this focus on socially and geographically defined environments. Tractor Boys (2013) centers on adolescent boys in rural Sweden, Italia (2016) reflects his engagement with street photography in several Italian cities, and August Song (2020) documents summer music venues hidden in wooded areas of rural Sweden. Passenger (2021), produced during repeated stays in Calcutta, marked his first sustained use of color photography alongside black and white.
