2 March 1938, is a German graphic designer, photographer, poster artist, and educator. He was born in Neustrelitz and trained as a glass painter from 1954 to 1958 in Hadamar before studying graphic design at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Kassel until 1964.

From 1960 he worked in collaborative studios with designers including Gerhard Lienemeyer and later Michael van de Sand, producing posters, books, and visual communication projects dealing with literature, theatre, and social themes. Their work also included photobooks and experimental publications through the Kohlkunstverlag founded in Frankfurt in 1967.

Rambow is associated with the Kassel School of poster design and became internationally known for his politically and culturally engaged poster series. His work has been exhibited widely in institutions such as the Bibliothèque nationale de France, the Akademie der Künste in Berlin, the Deutsches Plakatmuseum in Essen, and museums in Shanghai and Tokyo.

Alongside his design practice he taught graphic design from 1974 to 1991 at the Gesamthochschule Kassel and from 1991 to 2003 visual communication at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Karlsruhe. Since the 2000s he has continued to publish books and exhibit his poster work, and since the 2012/2013 season he has designed premiere posters for the Oper Frankfurt.
