Walter Keller (27 December 1953 – 1 September 2014), was a Swiss journalist, publisher, and gallerist. He studied folklore, linguistics, and German studies in Zurich and at the Free University of Berlin between 1973 and 1978. In 1978 he founded the magazine Der Alltag. Die Sensationen des Gewöhnlichen, dedicated to documenting everyday life in Switzerland. In 1984 he co-founded the bilingual art magazine Parkett in Zurich and New York together with Jacqueline Burckhardt, Bice Curiger, and Peter Blum, each issue produced in collaboration with contemporary artists.

In 1991 he initiated the photobook publisher Scalo, which combined publishing with a bookshop and gallery and became a significant platform for photographic books until its bankruptcy in 2006. In 1993 he co-founded the Fotomuseum Winterthur with George Reinhart and Urs Stahel and served on the foundation board during its early years.

He later worked as editor-in-chief of the cultural magazine Du in 2008, collaborated with the Lumas photo gallery, and from 2010 operated Galerie Walter Keller in Zurich.
