Hardcover, limited edition 250. Text by Adam Mazur, Gytis Skudžinskas.
After all, we all have experienced the situation when a song, melody or phrase keeps incessantly and involuntarily repeating in our head. Such situations sometimes make us feel uncomfortable and try to get rid of obtrusive information. Although these continually recurring snippets have no pragmatic value, they have accumulated in our subconscious from the uncontrollable unknown. It increasingly seems to me that we are made of stuff that has been learned, appropriated and adopted for inexplicable, obliterated reasons. It has eventually formed the seemingly unnecessary yet influential everyday background of our life.
The book Print of Truth / Truth of Print was conceived by capturing such fragments of texts and images. Certain sources of impromptu material are quite easily identified, while a part of them remains as unarticulated data lost in the stream of information.
Generally speaking, this exhibition is my self-portrait and an autobiographical comic.
