“It's about a project I did, called: Falling from a height. I investigated and confronted my obsession for a 20-year-old boy”.
Roughly 4000 pictures were taken for this book, many of them included in form of contact-sheets. We are lead into the book by excerpts from these sheets, starting slowly to build up to pages with 180 photos on one spread, on rough black paper. The book gets "softer" then when single photographs are presented on soft, thin paper. The contrast between the endless, nearly film-like pics with single spreads put side by side brings the idea of the "obsession" in great form into this book-project. A very thoughtful and lovely production in every detail, from the red thread used for the binding, to choice of paper, sequencing, uncut right edge, etc. - oh, and not to forget, great black and white photos...
