Peter Evans - Thinking of You, Post Cards: 1948 - 2015, Self published, 2015, London
Soft cover, numbered edition of 50, signed.
„A book of quotes about the weather from found postcards dated between 1948-2015. I was given a box of postcards by my Aunty that she'd collected over the years and once I'd picked one up I was hooked. I collected more and more postcards and bought up other collections. The one common factor linking each card was the need of each sender to relay news of the weather. Although a postcard takes a lot of time and effort to send, especially compared to today's social media-led standards, there is an absence of feeling, of meaning, which seemed to be replaced by the importance of the weather. This book is a reflection of our common need to use the mundane.“
