David Galjaard's book has won in the First PhotoBook category, Paris Photo – Aperture Foundation Photobook Awards 2012. Katie McGonigal's design of the book, from the cover with embossed small bunkers, to text-booklet inlays corresponds to the excellent photos taken all over Albania. Bunkers everywhere, as the government had planned to have one for every (fighting) man. You have to see this special book to believe this surreal idea, concrete artefacts in places you can't imagine.
