Paul Gaffney - We Make the Path by Walking, Self published, 2013, Dublin
The best books for me are the ones I'm not biased by reviews or by personal recommendations (although I live on that, of course). Just bumped into this book when for a few hours in Dublin and looking for the PhotoIreland Festival. I was immediately taken by Paul's photos, very silent and brilliant shots of "paths" he had taken on his journeys. When you can't discover the paths easily you start searching for traces which could form a path/way, the obvious ones on the other hand let you look for nature surrounding and take back their territory. All in all a book to look over and over again to find new patterns. You might have a look at Bernhard Fuchs' "Roads and Paths" - another one of this great, silent and meditative books. Very high on my 2013 list...
