Looking at the "private" life of German soldiers during WWII - this is the simple concept of the book. Not so simple the feelings it evokes when skimming through the book. You start to think how far is the next shooting, the next murder or slaughter. Or did it just happen and they did not care? Photos that produce so many different thoughts and by looking at them they take away the innocent moment when shot - lingers long in memory and works better with every time viewed!
