Karl Edlund Henrik - Bright Hours, Journal, 2016, Stockholm

 

Swiss bound hardcover with tipped in cover image, first edition of 600 copies. An additional limited edition of 25 copies has been made. Each copy, signed and numbered by the artist, comes in a hand-painted cloth slipcase including a signed inkjet print. Design by Karl Henrik Edlund and Gösta Flemming, text by Karl Henrik Edlund.

Bright Hours refers to something past – an uncertain place that does not exist, something fragile and indefinite.
The project, which started in 2008, is based on journeys to the Arctic North, Kola Peninsula and Nenets Autonomous Okrug in northwest Russia. The book also contains photographs from other places, like Saint Petersburg and the Åland islands.
