Susanne Otterberg - No more junk mail, please!, Journal, 2013, Stockholm
Hardcover, clothbound, edition of 1000 copies, desing by Gösta Flemming, text by Susanne Otterberg.
„In spring 2011 my grandmother suddenly became very confused. I could never have dreamed that she would become demented. She was always so lively, determined and strong. One day she looked at me without really seeing me and gave me the name Jens. She was disappointed in me who no longer came to visit her. Instead it was always this Jens who was there helping her. I photographed her all the time trying to understand what was going on inside her head and it was also a way to handle my grief over losing her.
Susanne Otterberg (b. 1962) is a selftaught photographer and she had her first exhibition in 1999, after participating in a workshop with Anders Petersen. Since then she has exhibited i Sweden, Lithuania and Peru. Most recently at the Landskrona Photofestival, Sweden, in 2014. Her projects are mostly of a private documentary character. Her first book, No more junk mail, please! was published in November 2013, by Journal. She received a one-year grant from the Swedish Author Foundation in 2014. Susanne Otterberg lives and works in Gothenburg, Sweden.“
