Yutaka Takanashi founded „Provoke“ with Takuma Nakahira, Takahiko Okada und Koji Taki in the late 60ies. While famous in Japan (maybe his most famous book Toshi-e ("Towards the City")) outside of Japan you will rarely find a book by him. The publisher "Only photography" (Germany, Berlin) has produced a great overview of the works of Takanashi - the only problem here is the small printrun, which won't help in easily discovering this wonderful photography. The book won the «Author Book Award» at «Les rencontres d'Arles Photographie 2010» and there are still copies with original print available, although not cheap.
Cloth hardcover with transparent dustjacket in slipcase, printrun 500, 01-30 with original print, 30-130 signed and numbered, 131-500 numbered.
