Catalogue for the Soviet Pavilion at the International Press Exhibition in Cologne in 1928 with a long folding panoramic plate comprising 18 sections reproducing photographs and collaged images from the exhibition, designed by Lissitzky who was commissioned as the main artist for the Pavilion and under his eye the creation of a revolutionary design was achieved. There are photomontages of the layout of the interior and exterior of the Soviet Pavilion as well as the most important installations and exhibition pieces celebrating Soviet publishing achievements. Architecture, graphic design, typography, photography, and cinematography were all brought together to show the world the importance and achievements of the press in post-Revolution Soviet society. Foreword by Artemy Bagratovich Khalatov (Chalatow; 1896-1938) the Commissar of Publishing and the chairman of the State Publishing House, who was executed during the Great Terror.
