Bernhard Fuchs - Mühl, Koenig Books, 2020, London
Hardcover. Edition of 400 copies, design by Claudia Ott. Signed.
Austrian photographer Bernhard Fuchs is an outstanding practitioner of portrait and landscape photography, whose images achieve a special stillness and artistic density. In his most recent work, carried out in his home region of Mühlviertel in Upper Austria, he captured details of nature- stones, water, trees, sky-on long walks taken regularly between 2014 and 2019. He is able to mark out the great significance of the seemingly small and unimportant through the intensity of his gaze, which becomes apparent in light, colours and various optical emphases.
