Goran Turnšek - Jakob, Self published, 2015, Amsterdam
Softcover, editing by Goran Turnšek, Ellen Sanders, Nicole Segers, design by Goran Turnšek and Minhong Yu. Edition of 60 copies, signed.
„Photographic project Jakob is an ode to my grandfather Jakob Emeršič, who was accidentally shot in the hunt in 1993. For the project, I returned to his native village Zabovci in Slovenia, where I lived for several years in the same house as my grandparents. The house is now vacant and for sale, but with the photographs I wanted to show how the time stopped after the death of both grandparents. Through a layer of documentary photography the way of leaving of Slovenian family is displayed. The second layer, presented through sequential photography shows the memories of the grandfather’s body language, how he walked, stood and worked.“
